Terms of Purchase

These general terms and conditions apply between Aleski AB ("Alpinhyra"), org. no: 556979-4802, Bankogatan 23 lgh 1102, 414 80 Göteborg, and the individual ("the customer") who enters into an agreement with Alpinhyra's store, agent, or through online rental. These terms apply to the rental and purchase of winter sports equipment and other services provided by Alpinhyra.

Age limit and identification

To rent equipment from Alpinhyra, the customer must be 18 years old and able to present valid identification. For day rentals in Alebacken, customers under 18 may rent equipment with a guardian's approval and signature.

Alpinhyra's responsibility

Alpinhyra is responsible to the customer for what the customer is entitled to under the agreement. Information on the website (www.alpinhyra.se) and other centrally managed information is binding for Alpinhyra but may be changed before an agreement is concluded if a clear reservation has been made to that effect and the customer has been clearly informed of the change. Alpinhyra reserves the right regarding any pricing or printing errors. The customer receives written confirmation of their paid pre-booking and other necessary documents. The customer is entitled to a full refund of the rental amount if the rented product becomes unusable through normal use of the reported product. Equipment rented from Alpinhyra remains Alpinhyra's property before, during, and after the rental period.

Customer's responsibility

Equipment
The customer is responsible for the rented equipment and uses it at their own risk. The equipment may be subject to normal wear and tear, meaning the wear that occurs through proper use of the product. If Alpinhyra deems that the equipment has not been used appropriately, a repair and/or restoration cost will be charged to the customer. If the equipment becomes unusable due to abnormal wear or is stolen, the customer is liable for compensation and shall pay the cost of restoring the product to the same condition as at the time of rental, but no more than the used price of the product. If base repair is necessary following the customer's use, Alpinhyra charges a fee of SEK 299.

Return
The customer must return the rented equipment to the same physical store from which it was rented, unless otherwise agreed between Alpinhyra and the customer. In the event of late return, Alpinhyra will charge the customer one day's rental fee for each day the equipment is not returned, unless otherwise agreed between Alpinhyra and the customer.

Payment terms

Payment
For pre-booked equipment, the full amount is paid at the time of booking, unless otherwise agreed between the parties. For direct seasonal and/or short-term rentals, the full amount is paid at the time of rental. No refunds are given once the rental period has begun. By making payment, the customer accepts these General Terms and Conditions.

Cancellation
If cancellation occurs at least three days before the collection date, the full rental amount will be refunded. If cancellation occurs less than three days before collection, a medical certificate is required to receive a refund of the rental amount. If the customer does not have a valid medical certificate, Alpinhyra reserves the right to withhold the refund.

Definition of rental periods

Seasonal equipment rental refers to the rental period from November 1, 2020, to May 1, 2021, and applies to rentals at Alpinhyra's store and via Alpinhyra's website. Short-term rental refers to a period of 1–8 days. The customer is entitled to three travel days in connection with the short-term rental period.

Exchange of rental equipment

Exchanging boots and snowboard boots is free of charge. For exchanging alpine skis or snowboards, Alpinhyra charges a fee of SEK 149 per pair. If the customer wishes to exchange for equipment in a higher price category, the price difference will also be charged.

Condition of rental equipment

The condition, features, and technical nature of the equipment may vary from one item to another, as may the selection, model, sizes, and lengths within each product category.

Purchase of rental equipment

The customer pays the price difference to purchase the rented equipment at a price agreed with Alpinhyra. There is no right of withdrawal or refund after purchasing used rental equipment.

The Personal Data Act (PUL) and the Data Protection Directive (GDPR)

By making payment for the rental period, the customer consents to Alpinhyra processing their personal data. The purpose is to enable standard customer administration and to ensure that Alpinhyra has access to reliable personal documentation, as well as to administer and process any property or personal injury claims. The information may also be used to inform the customer about Alpinhyra's range and offers.

Purchase of ready-to-wear items online

Right of withdrawal
The customer has a 14-day right of withdrawal after receiving the item. The customer may open the packaging to inspect the item for defects, but it must be returned in substantially unchanged condition. Return shipping costs are paid by the customer. If the customer wishes to return a purchase, they should contact Alpinhyra, who will provide instructions on how to send the item back. Once Alpinhyra has received the returned item and confirmed that it is undamaged, Alpinhyra will refund the amount paid by the customer, including shipping costs, as soon as possible, but no later than 30 days after Alpinhyra has received the item.

Exchange
If the customer wishes to exchange an item, a shipping fee will apply. If the customer chooses to exchange for an item in a different price category, the customer will receive or pay the price difference. Contact Alpinhyra for information on how to make an exchange.

Complaints
If the customer wishes to file a complaint about an item, they should contact Alpinhyra, who will provide instructions on how to return the item.

Force Majeure

Significant circumstances beyond Alpinhyra's control, such as natural disasters, strikes, lockouts, fire, war, or similar conditions of war, entitle Alpinhyra to terminate the agreement without any obligation to pay damages.
